The Lagos State Government will from the next academic session enforce the entry age of 12 years for pupils seeking admission into junior secondary school (JSS1) to check the registration of under-aged kids. Also, a fine of N50,000 for first offenders, N100,000 for second offenders as well as warning letters to close the school in case of further violation. Prime Minister Boris Johnson is “in good spirits” after spending the night in intensive care being treated for coronavirus, No 10 has said. Mr Johnson, 55, was stable overnight, is being given oxygen and is not on a ventilator, a spokesman added. The Lagos State Government has suggested that Alimosho local government area could be at risk of spiking the coronavirus pandemic after a case linked to the LGA was announced.
