Health authorities in China said on Friday that they received reports of 42 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland on Thursday, of which 38 were imported. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 14 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) on Thursday taking the total to 288. The coronavirus pandemic will turn global economic growth “sharply negative” this year, the head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has warned.
