Nigerian governors are protesting President Muhammadu Buhari’s Executive Order No. 10 of 2020 which grants financial autonomy to State legislature and the judiciary. Many governors were not happy with the President’s action which comes after he had given financial autonomy to local governments. At least 135 suspected bandits have been killed in massive air raids launched on their hideouts in Katsina and Zamfara States by the Air Component of Operation Hadarin Daji, the defence authorities said on Saturday. The raids spanned three days (Wednesday to Friday), according to the Coordinator Defence Media Operations, Major General John Enenche. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 265 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Friday. The 265 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed cases to 7526. The NCDC also announced the discharge of 167 patients from isolation centers across the country but no new death was also reported.
