    The Auditor of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Oyo State, Lukman Anwo is dead.

    The auditor’s death was announced on Saturday.

    Chronicle NG gathered that Anwo is a former Chairman of the Afijio local government area.

    Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Electoral Matters, Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli in his reaction expressed profound grief over the passing of the deceased.

    Alli who represents Oyo South Senatorial District in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Akeem Abas, described Anwo’s death as a rude shock.

    The statement was made available to newsmen on Saturday.

    He added that the death of the deceased is a significant loss to the APC and the state in general.

    “Hon. Lukman Anwo was a man of integrity and unwavering commitment to the progress of our party and the development of his local government.

    “His demise is a painful blow to all of us who knew and worked with him. He will be sorely missed”.
