A delegation made up of representatives from both the Warri and Uvwie kingdoms of Delta State arrived at the Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo State, on Wednesday to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the death of Alex Timileyin, a student reportedly beaten to death by his colleagues last Saturday.

According to reports, Timileyin was a prince of Uvwie and Warri kingdoms in Delta State.

Yemi Otuedon, a member of the delegation, shared footage from their visit on Facebook on Wednesday, stating that the tour was headed by the Timileyin’s uncle, Yemi Emiko, and Efe Ofobruku.

Otuedon wrote, “A high-powered delegation from both the Warri kingdom and the Uvwie kingdom of Delta State, led by Prince Yemi Emiko and Efe Ofobruku, left the state and arrived at Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo, to seek the whereabouts of their son, Akro Alex Chamuke.

“Others in the delegation are Alex Eyengho and Clem Onotoye, amongst others. Justice is all we seek—nothing but justice.

In one of the recordings, Otuedon revealed that they arrived at the school to speak with university officials before heading to the mortuary to determine the next course of action.

Another video was released when the delegates visited the scene of the incident where Timileyin was beaten.

In another video, Otuedon explained in pidgin what happened during their visit; he said, “When we held the meeting, our late prince’s uncle, Uncle Yemi, asked where our prince was living.

“If you see where these children are staying, they are like prisoners. Despite the kind of money paid to the school,”

He went on to say that when they arrived at his home, they noticed that the school had cleaned up and organised the deceased’s belongings.

“They went to his residence and mopped the place and kept his things on the floor,” he said.

He went on to say that when they arrived at his home, they noticed that the school had cleaned up and organised the deceased’s belongings.

He said, “After we left his residence, where he was beaten to death, we went to the police station. At the police station, we asked for approval to go to the mortuary.

“When we got to the mortuary, there were no other corpses there. Only our prince’s body was there. The mortuary is not working; his body was swollen.”

Speaking on the condition of the Timileyin’s corpse, he said, “There were injuries all over his head and body. If you saw the body, you would know it wasn’t a small bleed, and they went to clean the house (where he was beaten). They mopped it up. Is that not a wicked school?”
