Other impacted locations are Erifu Estate, DME Estate, Greenpath School, Earth Point Estate, Sunnyvale Estate, Brains & Hammer 1, 2, and 4, Hunters Garden, Ecofitness, Brains & Hammer 3 Apo, Bamaga Tukur Street, Eye Clinic, Best Way Hotel, Franca Afegbua Crescent, and Zone C; Defence College, Checkin Hotel, Abba Kyari Street, Adeyemi Adesoji Street, Start Right School, Zone E Extension, Idu, Karmo, Citec Mbora, Airport Road, Nile University, Base University, Karimajiji, Kuchingoro, and surrounding areas.

AEDC attributed the Abuja outage to a technical fault, stating: “We regret to inform you that the current power outage affecting your area is due to a technical fault.”

In Kogi State, affected areas include Okene township, Osisi, Kabba Junction, FCE, Osar, Mark Farm, Kabba, Isanlu, Ososo, Magogo, Ikare, Ihima, and nearby communities. AEDC explained that this outage is due to planned maintenance by the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) on the Okpella–Okene 132-kilovolt line on Sunday.

The company said the maintenance aims to enhance service reliability and improve power supply to the affected communities.

“We sincerely regret any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding during this necessary activity,” AEDC stated.
