Afrobeats megastar David Adeleke, also known as Davido, has once again showed love to his fans by presenting $5,000 to Ghanaian TikToker #Ananzooficial after witnessing his passionate cover of ‘With You’, a song featuring Omah Lay off Davido’s latest album 5ive.
The video, which has gone viral, has #Ananzooficial singing with passion and pitch-perfect delivery, capturing the soul of the original track.
Clearly moved, Davido answered with a hefty monetary prize in the post’s comments area. He commented, “5K US for OLS, contact #deekay-dmw.”
This spontaneous gesture not only demonstrates Davido’s generous spirit, but it also solidifies his reputation as an artist who values and uplifts his fans in real, tangible ways.
In November 2021, Davido donated ₦250 million to 292 orphanages in Nigeria, including ₦50 million from his own funds and ₦200 million raised through a social media campaign.
In July 2023, he donated ₦237 million to 424 orphanages, directly benefiting almost 13,000 children. In November 2024, he offered an additional ₦300 million to fund orphans and battle youth drug usage.
The musician also provided a five-year full scholarship to Morro Suleyman, a Ghanaian student with outstanding academic records but financial difficulties, allowing him to attend Adeleke University.
In 2018, he contributed ₦15 million for a staff member’s operation at Murtala Muhammed International Airport.
5ive, Davido’s April 18, 2025 release, features 17 tracks and has become a runaway hit, with millions of streams and a spot at the top of the Afrobeats charts.
