Beyoncé has become the most-nominated artist in Grammy history, with 11 nominations for her most recent album, Cowboy Carter, and an astounding career total of 99.

This breaks her previous tie with her husband, Jay-Z, who has 88 Grammy nominations, making the Carters the reigning power couple.

“When we talk about Grammy milestones, Beyoncé has set the gold standard,” commented the Recording Academy President in a statement.

“This achievement reflects not just her versatility but her enduring impact across genres and generations.”

The Recording Academy announced this in a press statement on its website, as reported by Chronicle NG in its complete list of nominees.

Cowboy Carter, Beyoncé’s album about the sounds and stories of Texas, is nominated for Album of the Year and Country Album of the Year, earning her first nods in the country and Americana categories.

Her breakout track, “Texas Hold ‘Em,” received nominations for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Country Song of the Year, demonstrating her broad influence in pop, country, Americana, and even melodic rap performance.

If Beyoncé wins Album of the Year, she will become the first Black woman in the twenty-first century to get the honour.

The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, the last Black woman to win this award, took it in 1999 with her album.

“Seeing another Black woman win Album of the Year would mean so much,” said Hill. “Beyoncé’s achievement opens doors and redefines boundaries in music.”

Among the year’s other highlights is Post Malone, a first-time Grammy contender in the country category, for his debut country album, F-1 Trillion.

His duet with Morgan Wallen, “I Had Some Help,” is up for Country Song and Country Duo/Group Performance, and it marks Wallen’s first Grammy nomination.

Malone is close behind Beyoncé, with seven nominations, as are Billie Eilish, Kendrick Lamar, and Charli XCX, who received her first solo Grammy nomination.

The 2025 Grammy Awards, which will telecast live from Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena on February 2, promise an intriguing showdown as music’s greatest musicians compete for the Recording Academy’s most prestigious awards.

According to the Black Information Network, Beyoncé’s 11 nominations this year solidify her place as the most decorated artist in Grammy history, a title she claims despite last year’s CMA shutout and the popularity of Cowboy Carter.

With this record-breaking performance, Beyoncé not only demonstrates her genre-spanning brilliance but also cements her position as a transformative figure in music history.

“She’s set the bar impossibly high,” Jay-Z reportedly said. “It’s an inspiration for artists everywhere to keep redefining what’s possible.”
