Nigerians have celebrated the Sunday eviction of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) housemate Shaun Okojie, popularly called Smooth Shaun.

Chronicle NG reports that the BBNaija housemate was evicted from the ongoing ‘No Loose Guard’ season after getting the third lowest votes on Sunday.

His eviction followed a face-to-face nomination process, where nine housemates were nominated for possible eviction by their peers.

His exit comes after fellow housemate Handi was evicted during Sunday’s eviction show.

Until his eviction, Shaun found love in the arms of fellow housemate Wanni.

Reacting to his eviction, a cross-section of Nigerians described his eviction as “the best eviction ever.”

They attributed his eviction allegedly to pride and arrogance, noting that he “is full of himself.”

This publication highlights below some of the reactions of Nigerians to his eviction.

Oyiza, ”Not gonna lie, Shaun’s eviction made my night. It’s a pleasant and welcomed surprise. He should go back home and learn humility and basic respect. His arrogance and pride were his biggest undoings.”

Diusey Cynthia, ”Shaun has forgotten that he is in the big brother’s house; Is it by kissing up and down? He thinks he is covered with that. Pride was too much. Best eviction ever”

BBN Update said: “Overconfidence. Anyway, I didn’t expect it either. With all the noise Shaunsters make.”

Tony Francis said, “And he lied on stage that he knew he was leaving.”

Abbie said, “Really, overconfidence, but i was shocked, the way his fans were posting SS of votes, I thought he topped.“

Lauretta, “He thinks its his fathers house.”

Jagkruta, “Looks like Shaun might be in denial about leaving. That’s surprising.”

Glory Nwodo, ”The fact that he’ll be watching Kelly and Kassia from his house is my happiness.”

Sa’adatu Salihu, ”Nonsense! His mind was deceiving him that he would win the show. He thought he was stronger than Kellyrae and Kassia because he kept nominating and thinking they would leave before him. In fact, I love the way he was evicted.”
