    BREAKING: Police arrest 14 over invasion of Justice Odili’s home

    At least 14 persons have been arrested in connection with the invasion on the home Justice Mary Odili in Abuja, the Nigeria Police Force announced on Thursday.

    The suspects include a fake Chief Superintendent of Police, Lawrence Ajodo; an unnamed journalist with a national newspaper and an Islamic scholar.

    The Force Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba paraded the suspects in Abuja on Thursday and explained that their arrest followed a swift investigation by the police.

    At least ten more persons linked with the incident including two military personnel are at large, the police spokesman added.

    The Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, had on November 1 called for thorough investigation into the invasion of the Supreme Court’s justices home.

    He also vowed to bring all perpetrators to face the full wrath of the live.

    “The Inspector General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba has ordered detailed investigations into the reported invasion of the Abuja residence of Justice Mary Odili, an incident that occurred on Friday, 29th October, 2021,” Mba said in a statement on November 1.

    “The IGP, who noted that the leadership of the Force is not aware and did not at any time order police operatives to carry out such assignment, described the reported violation of the sanctity of the residence of the Justice of the Supreme Court as unfortunate and unacceptable.
