Yuletide forces MMM Nigeria to freeze all accounts

Nigerians who are participating in the MMM scheme are in shock after the platform said it was going on a brief recces because it is experiencing “heavy workload”.

In a statement issued early this morning, the platform said it needs to prevent any problems during the New Year season and has decided to go on break.

It urged all members to be calm.

    See statement here:

    Dear members!

As usual, in the New Year season the System is experiencing heavy workload. Moreover, it has to deal with the constant frenzy provoked by the authorities in the mass media. The things are still going; the participants feel calm; everyone gets paid – as you can see here haven’t been any payment or other problems yet – but it is better to avoid taking risks.:-)) (Moreover, there are almost three weeks left to the New Year.)

Hence, on the basis of the above mentioned, from now on all confirmed Mavro will be frozen for a month.

The reason for this measure is evident. We need to prevent any problems during the New Year season, and then, when everything calms down, the measure will be cancelled. (Which we will definitely do.:-))

    We hope for your understanding,

    Administration

Following the statement, many Nigerians took to social media claiming that the scheme has crashed. But the platform promptly dismissed it in a tweet.

Dear Mavrodians, keep calm. MMM Nigeria has not and will not crash. This is a step in the right direction. Continue to PH as usual. #MMMPays pic.twitter.com/qh1FlxT1F8

That did not in any way allay the fears of many who are now hard done by the platform which the Federal Government of Nigeria has warned its citizens against participating in.

See the reaction of many on Twitter.

This is how MMM crashed in South Africa. In May, MMM SA announced a freeze, just like MMM Nigeria did in December, SA still frozen. pic.twitter.com/p4Y3FFCiKF
