Barcelona teenage sensation Lamine Yamal has promised to score a goal against Real Madrid in El Clásico on Sunday.
The 18-year-old Spanish winger, who recently returned to the Catalan side after a groin injury, vowed to score in the clash at the Bernabeu.
“I will score against Real Madrid on Sunday. Not a prediction—a promise,” Yamal wrote on X.
Lamal’s statement comes after teammate Marcus Rashford stated his readiness to create history at Barcelona and score his first El Clásico goal against Real Madrid.
Rashford, in a statement on his verified X page, mentioned that he will be greatly delighted to score a goal against them.
Speaking on the match, the England attacker said, “It will be a great honor to score my first El Clásico goal on Sunday. I want to make history.”
The attacker already has five goals in 12 games in all competitions for Barcelona this season.
The arch rivals will clash in the most anticipated LaLiga match of the season at the Bernabeu on Sunday.
Barcelona goes into the match after an impressive 6-1 victory over Olympiacos on Tuesday in the UEFA Champions League, while Madrid secured a hard-fought 1-0 win over Italian giant Juventus on Wednesday.
