Former middleweight champion Israel Adesanya refused to accept defeat, stating, “I might get beaten, but I’d always remain undefeated,” even after his losing run reached four fights.

On Saturday night, at UFC Fight Night 271 in Seattle, USA, the Nigerian-born striker was defeated by rising American challenger Joe Pyfer via second-round technical knockout.

Pyfer stopped Adesanya with ground-and-pound strikes at 4:18 in Round 2, dealing “The Last Stylebender” his latest setback.

Adesanya entered the fight with a 24-5 record and looked sharp in the first round, controlling the pace with his hallmark distance management and counter-striking techniques.

Pyfer, on the other hand, absorbed the early pressure and used a series of strong punches and a takedown to shift momentum.

Pyfer pinned Adesanya against the fence, took him to the canvas, advanced to full mount, and unleashed sustained ground-and-pound.

As Adesanya was knocked down, referee Herb Dean intervened to end the fight.

In a viral post-fight interview video spreading on social media, a visibly battle-tested but unbowed Adesanya addressed the audience.

Responding to a question about how he plans to move forward after his fourth straight loss, “The Last Stylebender” said, “I will keep going again and again and again and again. I’m not f***ing leaving. You can’t stop me.

“I might get beaten, but I’d always remain undefeated.”
