The Anambra State governor, Prof. Charles Soludo, has congratulated President Bola Tinubu on the occasion of his 74th birthday on Sunday, March 29, 2026.

In a press statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, on Sunday, Soludo extolled Tinubu’s “bold leadership, political sagacity, and uncompromising commitment” to the unity, peace, development and progress of Nigeria.

The governor stated that history will remember Tinubu as a leader who dared to make the difficult but necessary decisions needed to reorient the nation’s economy for long-term stability.

He acknowledged that, while the administration’s bold economic reforms, such as the removal of fuel subsidies and the unification of exchange rates, required significant sacrifice from citizens, these courageous steps laid the groundwork for a more resilient, transparent, and prosperous Nigeria in the future.

The statement read in part, “The Anambra State governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has warmly congratulated President Bola Tinubu on the occasion of his 74th birthday on Sunday, March 29, 2026.

“President Tinubu has demonstrated that true leadership is not about seeking temporary popularity, but about making the hard choices that will secure the future generations to come.

“The ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’ is steadily steering the nation away from the precipice of fiscal recklessness towards a path of sustainable growth, and Anambra State stands in solidarity with the President as he navigates these challenging times.”

However, the governor urged all Nigerians to support the President as he continues to address the nation’s numerous concerns, especially security.

He expressed optimism that under Tinubu’s leadership, Nigeria will become stronger, more united, and economically flourishing.

Soludo wished Tinubu a happy 74th birthday, along with prayers for his continued good health, sound intellect, divine direction, and many more years of service to our wonderful nation.
