US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth stated on Friday that the US is “not concerned” about accusations that Russia is sending intelligence to Iran about United States force placements and movements.

While declining to corroborate the accusations, Hegseth stated in an interview with CBS’s “60 Minutes,” “We’re tracking everything.”

“Our commanders are aware of everything,” he said. “We have the best intelligence in the world. We’re aware of who’s talking to whom.”

“We’re not concerned about that,” the defense secretary said. “We mitigate it as we need to.”

Earlier Friday, the White House denied reports that Russia is giving Iran targeting intelligence on US military in the Middle East.

“It clearly is not making a difference with respect to the military operations in Iran because we are completely decimating them,” White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters.

“We are achieving the military objectives of this operation, and that is going to continue,” Leavitt said.

According to people familiar with the intelligence, Russia has given Iran information on the positions of US military assets such as ships and aircraft.

Six US servicemen were murdered in a drone strike on a US base in Kuwait on Sunday, while the CIA station in Riyadh was also targeted.

The Post reported that China did not appear to be assisting Iran’s defenses.

Russia and China have long-standing diplomatic and trade relations with Iran, and Russia has strong military ties to the country.

Both Moscow and Beijing have denounced the US-Israeli attack on Iran.
