The United Kingdom Commercial and Arbitration Court has granted Nigeria leave to appeal against $9.6 billion awards in favour of Process and Industrial Development Limited.
The legal team is currently arguing case for the stay of the execution of the judgement.

The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN) who led the Nigerian legal team to London, confirmed the development to newsmen.
Also in London are Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Godwin Emefiele; Inspector-General of Police Mohammed Adamu; acting Chairman of the EFCC, Mr. Ibrahim Magu and Minister of Information Lai Mohammed, among others.
Malami had on Sunday said the Federal Government did not ruled out the possibility of filing a new case in the UK against P&ID.
He confirmed that a Nigerian delegation had left for London to discuss with the legal team on strategies of dealing with the case.
