President Bola Tinubu conferred the national honour of Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic on American billionaire philanthropist and Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates in Lagos on Tuesday.
This was announced in a post on X by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
According to a statement from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the philanthropist is in Nigeria this week to meet with Tinubu and discuss initiatives to strengthen the country’s primary healthcare system.
