Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has being doing a lot for the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the Northeast of Nigeria but this has mostly gone unpublicized.
Osinbajo who is known for his silent philanthropic activities has built schools and homes in Borno state to help educate and house children who have been affected by insurgency in the region.
In a video which Chronicle NG saw on YouTube, the Vice President explained that he started the empowerment programme as he turned 60.
The privately funded programme also empowered the people of Borno state as it created job and renewed belief amongst communities in the northeast.
To achieve the objective of reaching out to IDPs, the former Attorney General of Lagos state founded the North East Children’s Trust (NECT). The projects are funded by Osinbajo and friends in the private sector.
