“Two robbery victims were rescued. The arrest is sequel to the directive of the Commissioner of Police Adegoke Fayoade to Commander of RRS, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi, to step up surveillance and arrest criminals in some black spots within the metropolis.’’ the statement reads.

It stated that after a thorough screening of the suspects by Mr Egbeyemi, 16 persons were released to their relatives, while 10 suspects would be charged to court.

Egbeyemi further assured residents of the state that the squad will sustain its surveillance.
