The Royal Wedding is upon us and all eyes will be on Windsor Castle but importantly on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as their fairytale romance turns marriage.

With millions of people tuning in to watch the happy couple get married, here’s what the loved-up pair will say to each other as they exchange vows at St George’s Chapel.

What will Harry and Meghan say to each other?

The full order of service has been revealed – while the Dean of Windsor will lead the ceremony, the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby oversees the vows.

He says: HARRY and MEGHAN, I now invite you to join hands and make your vows, in the presence of God and his people.

At this point, the Bride and Bridegroom face each other and join hands.

Prince Harry then says: I HARRY, take you, MEGHAN, to be my wife, to have and to hold from, this day forward; for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death us do part; according to God’s holy law. In the presence of God I make this vow.

Meghan Markle replies: I MEGHAN, take you, HARRY, to be my husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward; for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death us do part; according to God’s holy law. In the presence of God I make this vow.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will tie the knot at the Windsor Castle

    They then loose hands.

Lady Diana Spencer caused controversy when she married Prince Charles in 1981 by omitting the word “obey” in what was understood to be a feminist statement.

Although Sarah Ferguson chose to repeat the traditional vows word-for-word, Kate Middleton followed in Diana’s footsteps in 2011 by also omitting the phrase.

And Meghan, who is entering the chapel and walking the first half of the aisle alone before being joined by Prince Charles, will follow Kate’s lead by ditching that part of the traditional vow.

What will Meghan be referred to as?

While the British public has come to know and love the bride-to-be as Meghan, her birth name is actually Rachel Meghan Markle.

Despite the fact that Prince Harry’s partner has been referred to as Meghan for all her Royal engagements, the Church of England is using her given name at the start of the ceremony.

The Prince, on the other hand, will go by his full name of Henry Charles Albert David during the Dean of Windsor’s opening preface.

However, during the rest of the service, they will be referred to as plain old Harry and Meghan.
