Nigerians have hailed Rep Abdulmumin Jibrin as a true leader after his name was obviously not listed in the 9th House of Assembly Reps Committee as chairman.

Many had believed that Rep Jibrin, who championed the emergence of Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila had fallen out after his left out of the Committee list.

Nigerians were stunned that Mr. Jibrin, who was Director-General of the Femi Gbajabiamila/Ahmed Wase Campaign Organisation was not handed a juicy Committee to chair.

To calm the frail nerves of Nigerians and to assure them that nothing was wrong, Mr. Jibrin posted pictures of himself seeing Mr. Gbajabiamila off to his car.

“Walking Mr Speaker to his car after a surprise visit this morning,” he wrote on his official Twitter page.

“We have announced leadership of Committees and did our best to ensure merit and fairness. Mr Speaker went through extreme pressure but as usual, he showed courage.

“History will be kind to him. May God bless 9th Assembly”.

Reacting to the tweet, Nigerians praised Mr. Jibrin for his maturity and his handling of the situation.

    You are just extraordinary..
    Not self centered..nor greedy
    God bless you

Honestly I’m surprised when your name didn’t appear at all, I couldn’t fathom any reason why it didn’t. But with this tweet my nerves are calmed, whatever understanding you people have it is well. May God bless the 9th Assembly.

I also salute your selfless service too, in that you are not a chairman of any committee, and giving the fact of the prominent role you played in the emergence of the speaker, it takes courage not to take advantage of it.

Love this . it shows you are not desperate for position

    — Adese Collins (@collinsadese) July 25, 2019

    — Sadiq Ibrahim (@SdqAzare) July 25, 2019

A true Patriot you are. More than proud of you!

    — BASHIR MUSA (@senatorbash) July 25, 2019

This is a proof that you didn’t do all that you did to ensure @femigbaja emerge as Speaker because of any appointment. Great job you did. More proud of you.
