The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has praised First Lady Oluremi Tinubu as a caring leader whose efforts have reached Nigerians spanning political, ethnic, religious, and geographical divides.
Yilwatda made this known in a birthday message released on Monday to honor the First Lady, who turns 66.
Speaking for the party’s National Working Committee, leaders and members, the APC chairman noted that Oluremi Tinubu’s efforts through the Renewed Hope Initiative and other programs have centered on education, healthcare, women and youth empowerment, along with assistance for vulnerable Nigerians.
He called her a “true mother of the nation,” noting that her actions have shown that leadership means restoring dignity, reviving hope, and inspiring confidence in a brighter future.
Yilwatda further praised what he termed the First Lady’s “quiet acts of kindness” and her dedication to humanity, noting that these have made her a wellspring of comfort and inspiration for many Nigerians.
The APC chairman also underscored Oluremi Tinubu’s backing for her husband, President Bola Tinubu, as the administration drives its economic transformation and national renewal agenda.
He stated that her “strength, wisdom, prayers, and understanding” had provided an important pillar of support to the president as he faced the responsibilities of governing the country.
“Your partnership exemplifies the power of shared purpose in the service of a nation,” Yilwatda said.
He offered prayers that the First Lady be granted good health, wisdom, grace, and renewed energy, while also expressing his wish for her to enjoy greater fulfillment in the years to come.
He said, “May the years ahead bring you greater fulfillment and enable you to touch even more lives with your compassion and service.”
Yilwatda also prayed that her marriage to the president would continue to be blessed and asked for strength and wisdom for the couple as they serve Nigeria.
He wrapped up by wishing the First Lady a happy 66th birthday, praying that her life would keep being a blessing to Nigeria and to humanity.
