13-year-old child comedienne Emmanuella Samuel, popularly recognized for her comedic performances on the Mark Angel YouTube channel, stirred varied reactions among internet users following the emergence of a video on Thursday.

The viral footage captured Emmanuella donning a black dress with a high slit, showcasing her dancing skills while wearing heels.

Chronicle NG reports on social media users reacted to the trend.

Some argued that she was too young to be posting content like that; others considered the video to be acceptable and applauded the comedienne for her growth.

Daniel Regha wrote, “Emmanuella is about 13 years old; she’s still a kid and shouldn’t be encouraged to do adult-related content. This isn’t about showbiz; it’s about doing what’s right. There are clothes a child should wear and a way a child should behave, regardless of their social class. Her loved ones should caution her”.

Allezamani said, “So with the look of things, Emmanuella is just 14 years old, and she’s already sexualizing herself on social media? That is absolutely wrong; her parents or guardians should caution her lifestyle thoroughly; the fact that she became a celebrity at a very young age does not make her an adult at just the age of 14.”

“How old is this girl again? Is she up to 18? Now I think she’s doing too much at her age; she should be focused on her education and not wearing stuff that shows her cleavage at this very young age, Isdore Chima opined.”

“They say she’s 13 looking like a sweet 16. My own is, make she dey careful, sha, DarcAlbino said.”

Cautioning users who sexualized the video in their captions, RealDukeofBenue wrote, “Y’all should stop lusting already… She is still an innocent child. She’s 13.”

Amidst the comments condemning the video, some other X users chose to praise Emmanuella for her growth.

IamTheIroko also said, “All Emmanuella did was make a video of herself dancing, and as a father to a girl child, I see my daughter make dance videos or even dance in front of cameras, and I join her most times, if only to take advantage and bond. I don’t get the outrage; allow children to be children.”

Uncle_Onos posted, “I like the fact that she didn’t allow fame to get in between her studies. Her handlers are doing quite a great job with her.

“There was no way she would have remained ‘Emmanuella‘ forever. It was a fame that was tied to her young age. Her management did well to take advantage of those moments. Happy for her growth.”

“It is really good to see her doing well for herself. She looks like she’s financially stable. That’s awesome! , Jrayblue posted.”

Retired Nigeria Police Force men and their families blocked a gate at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Monday to protest their continued inclusion in the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS). The demonstrators, led by the Police Retired Officers Forum of Nigeria (PROF), branded the program as "fraudulent, illegal, inhumane, and obnoxious" and urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to sign the Police Exit Bill. According to the retirees, if signed into law, the bill, which was passed by the National Assembly on December 4, 2025, and transmitted to the president on March 16, 2026, would remove police personnel from the CPS. The National Coordinator of PROF, CSP Raphael Irowainu (retd.), led the protest and stated that the goal was to get the president to act on the legislation. “Our major aim here is to prevail on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to sign our bill—the bill exiting the police from the Contributory Pension Scheme—passed by the National Assembly on 4th December 2025 and transmitted to him on 16th March 2026 into law, nothing more than that,” he said. Ads by Irowainu bemoaned that while other security agencies have been removed from the scheme, police personnel remain included. “The soldiers have been exited, the SSS has been exited, the Air Force has been exited, the Navy has been exited, and the National Intelligence Agency has been exited. The police, who are the father of them all, are trapped in this obnoxious Contributory Pension Scheme,” he added. The pensioners maintained that the CPS had a negative impact on their wellbeing, calling it a "slavery and untimely death-inducing pension scheme." Monday's demonstration is not the first time retired police officers have raised the issue. In July 2025, retirees held a similar demonstration at the National Assembly, seeking their expulsion from the plan. Some demonstrators, many of whom were elderly, also protested at the Force Headquarters in Abuja, expressing their dissatisfaction with the CPS's pension arrangements. The latest protest reflects rising frustration among retired police officers with pension reforms and their exclusion from benefits provided to other security organizations.
