Security agents believed to be officials of the Department of State Services (DSS) have stormed the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), Abuja and have arrested two persons.

The security agents arrested two unidentified men after they turned up at a planned protest outside the church.

The church has come under nationwide scrutiny after Busola Dakolo, wife of musician Timi Dakolo accused the founder of COZA Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of rape.

Mrs Dakolo in an interview claimed that Pastor Fatoyinbo raped her when she was just 16 in Ilorin, Kwara state capital.

Pastor Fatoyinbo has since denied the allegations in an official letter and has said he will pursue a lawsuit against and others who have made the claim.

On social media, many have argued for and against Mrs Dakolo and Pastor Fatoyinbo with a large proportion of Nigerians calling for the pastor to step down while investigation is ongoing.

The charge on social media especially Twitter led to a call for a protest at the COZA headquarters in Abuja.

Shortly after the protest which held at the church began, two of the male protesters were driven away in a black Mercedes Benz C200 saloon belonging to an unidentified security agency shortly before 8:00 a.m, according to witnesses.

Protesters were angry that security agencies had started clamping down on citizens even though the protest billed for 8:30 a.m. was yet to officially begin.

The church has seen an increase in security measure and as protesters began to arrive, more security personnel were also deployed at the church’s headquarters in Guzape.

At least 30 police officers were seen around the church. About 20 Civil Defence men were also seen scattered between the church’s junction on Murtala Muhammed Way and the church’s premises, a distance of about 1.2 kilometres.
