In compliance with the directives of the Delta State Commissioner of Police, Ari Muhammed Ali, the Divisional Police Officer, in Asaba have recovered a tricycle with reg. no ASB 144 WZ containing one (1) locally made cut-to-size single barrel gun, one (1) battle axe, one (1) Tecno phone and twenty wraps of weeds suspected to be Indian hemp and other hard drugs.
The Delta State Police Command led by CP Ari Muhammed Ali disclosed this in a statement signed by the Acting Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe.
According to him, a Police team on patrol behind NTA Asaba, saw a tricycle rider with two occupants on sighting them jumped down and escaped into the bush abandoning the tricycle.
He said, “Effort is ongoing to arrest the fleeing suspects.”
