- Promises to comply with transport reform
Mukaila Lamidi, better known as “Auxiliary,” the former Chairman of the Disciplinary Committee of the Oyo State Park Management System (PMS), has criticised the Oyo State Police Command for declaring him wanted.
Following his dismissal by Governor Seyi Makinde, Lamidi was proclaimed sought by the police for alleged gunrunning.
As Makinde remains his destiny helper, the former PMS leader stated that he is devoted to peace and would follow by whatever choice the governor makes on transport unions.
He went on to say that Makinde and his ally, Otunba Seye Famojuro, are both his supporters.
Reacting to the allegations of violence perpetrated by his boys a few days ago in Ibadan, ‘Auxiliary,” who spoke from his hideout on a live radio programme in Ibadan yesterday, said that he is a peace-lover who could not have turned the state into a theatre of war over the dissolution of the PMS by the governor.
He said, “When I’m not a fool, how could I have hidden or stockpiled those weapons at my residence?”
He warned his boys not to foment trouble or engage in any act of violence in Ibadan and other parts of the state, saying they should desist from such plans.
Lamidi pointed out that no individual, no matter how highly influential, is bigger than the government.
The former PMS boss promised to comply and cooperate with the reform and integration of other driver unions into the PMS, adding that if the new reform did not favour him, he would accept the outcome.
