Police in Ogun State have detained two individuals for stealing a vehicle from the Dangote Cement Factory in Ibese.
The suspects have been named as Lawal and Mohammed Ndatotu, according to Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer Omolola Odutola.
According to Odutola, the truck driver assigned to Dangote Cement‘s transport department in Ibese said that his truck, with registration number KPF 237 XA, was taken while he left his two motor boys, Mohammed Lawal and Ismail, inside.
“Upon returning to the parking area on October 29, 2023, the driver discovered that his truck had been taken to an unknown location, and the two motorboys had absconded,” Odutola stated in a press release.
She went on to say: “One Lawal and Mohammed Ndatotu were later tracked and apprehended at Ogbere by the Ogbere Divisional Police Officer.”
The two suspects, she claims, have subsequently “confessed to stealing the vehicle from its parked location.”
She also stated that the police have begun an inquiry into the situation and are pursuing the required legal procedures.
