The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has warned the public about the circulation of fake recruitment websites claiming to be conducting hiring exercises for the service.
In a statement on its X on Tuesday, the NIS clarified that the only legitimate recruitment exercise currently ongoing is the official process managed by the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board.
“The service urged all applicants and members of the public to rely solely on the official CDCFIB recruitment portal for accurate and up-to-date information:
“Any other websites, links, or advertisements circulating outside this official platform are unauthorized and should be disregarded,” the statement stated.
“Applicants are advised to remain vigilant and avoid falling victim to fraudsters who may use fake portals to collect personal data or demand payments under the guise of recruitment,” NIS added.
The NIS also urged the public to report any suspicious websites or recruitment adverts to the relevant authorities.
