The White House has released video of undocumented immigrants being shackled and transported onto a deportation airplane heading from Seattle.
The 41-second video, titled “ASMR: Illegal Alien Deportation Flight,” features close-up pictures of chains and cuffs on the tarmac, as well as detainees walking with their wrists and ankles tied.
One image depicts an immigrant marching past an officer, his wrists tied in front of him and his ankles chained.
Other clips from the White House’s video show a close-up of a man’s handcuffs being secured, another person’s feet in chains as they ascend a stairwell to the plane, and a man about to board.
The the illegal immigrants faces were not shown in the video.
Since taking office on January 20, President Donald Trump has increased deportations as part of his immigration policies.
Thousands of unauthorized immigrants have already been deported, including more than 300 Indian nationals.
Tom Homan, Trump’s border czar, has reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to deportation, stating that he will not stop until every “illegal criminal migrant” has been “eradicated” from the country.
He also claimed that under Trump, illegal border crossings have decreased compared to past years.
