Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has declared that he enjoys working for President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress government.
Wike, a Peoples Democratic Party chieftain and the only opposition member in Tinubu’s cabinet, made the comment on Saturday at the PDP Congress in Port Harcourt, Rivers State’s capital.
Despite the criticisms that followed his appointment, the former Rivers State Governor insisted that he will continue to serve for the Tinubu administration.
According to the minister, he has no regrets about his decision and is pleased with his position in the current administration.
He said, “We are fully in government. We are fully in Tinubu’s government. I have no regrets about it, and I will continue to be there. Anybody who is angry should go and hug a transformer.”
Wike’s appointment as FCT Minister caused debate, with many claiming that his ministerial position was a reward for his contributions to Tinubu’s victory in Rivers State during the 2023 presidential election.
