Apostle Johnson Suleiman, founder of Omega Fire Ministries, has condemned Nigeria’s leadership following the deadly attack in Jos, describing it as evidence of governance failure.

In a strongly worded post on X, Suleiman said the violence in Plateau State reflects a leadership that prioritises politics over the protection of lives.

“Jos attack is another evidence of failed leadership,” he wrote, criticising what he described as wasteful political activities instead of safeguarding citizens.

The cleric warned that history would judge leaders who, according to him, have enabled the same insecurity they once condemned.

“I believe in the power of prayers but prayers won’t replace responsibility. We need humane leaders,” he added, expressing frustration over what he called a lack of empathy among those in power.

Suleiman also extended condolences to victims’ families, saying the nation shares in their grief and praying for strength to bear the loss.

His comments come after gunmen reportedly attacked Angwan Rukuba in Jos, Jos, killing at least 20 people.

Eyewitnesses said the attackers stormed the community on Sunday and opened fire indiscriminately on residents going about their daily activities.

The latest incident adds to growing concerns over insecurity in Plateau State, where recurring violence has continued to claim lives.
