Napoli rejected a formal offer of €70 million from Galatasaray for striker Victor Osimhen, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Romano confirmed on Friday that Galatasaray had submitted the bid earlier in the day, along with bank documentation to ensure payment.

However, the club president Aurelio De Laurentiis reportedly turned down the idea, asking for a guaranteed €75 million sum for the Nigerian attacker.

“Understand Napoli have now rejected a new formal proposal sent by Galatasaray today for Victor Osimhen.

“Galatasaray offered €70m today with bank documents attached for payment guarantees… Napoli president De Laurentiis wants €75m guaranteed, and he has rejected,” Romano posted.

The Nigerian forward, a key figure in Serie A champions successes two seasons ago, remains one of the most sought-after strikers in European football.
