Music producer Dr. Roy has refuted reports of him accusing Nigerian gospel singer Mercy Chinwo of owing him for songs he produced for her.
Several media outlets had reported that Dr. Roy berated her over unpaid debts for songs he produced for her.
The reports follow statements made by Dr. Roy while speaking during the Honest Bunch podcast with popular on-air personality Nedu.
However, in a new video posted by the music producer, he mentioned that he did not “call out” Mercy Chinwo. Rather, he stated that the person he was calling out was one Ezekiel ThankGod (Eezeetee), owner of Eezee Concept, whom he worked for.
He added that all the difficulties he mentioned in the Honest Bunch Podcast were what he faced while working for Eazeetee.
Dr. Roy further mentioned that contrary to what was reported, Mercy Chinwo helped him financially when his father developed a stroke and even during the burial of his dad, who died afterward.
He emphasized that the gospel minister went through a similar fate at the hands of record company boss Eazeetee.
