England’s captain Harry Kane netted a second-half hat-trick as Bayern Munich triumphed over Stuttgart in the German Cup final, achieving a league and cup double.
Following a scoreless first half at Berlin’s Olympiastadion, Kane bent down to head in Michael Olise’s cross from the back post, giving Vincent Kompany’s squad the lead in the 55th minute.
The ex-Tottenham forward netted his second goal with 10 minutes remaining, turning as he collected Luis Diaz’s assist before finishing.
He subsequently took a stoppage-time penalty to secure the victory and achieve his second hat-trick in consecutive matches.
Kane’s goals that secured the cup conclude an incredible season with Bayern, where he tallies an impressive 61 goals in 51 matches.
Following Bayern’s capture of the Bundesliga championship for the second consecutive season in early May and the German Supercup last August, Kane has now achieved four titles since arriving at the German club in the summer of 2023.
Bayern’s comfortable victory against Sebastian Hoeness’ Stuttgart secures them their 21st German Cup title, marking their first since the 2019-20 season.
