The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results of candidates who sat the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) on Monday, April 20.
Its spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, confirmed this in a statement issued on Tuesday, sending impacted applicants to the board’s usual result-checking methods.
“The results for Monday, 20th, have been released. Candidates can view their results using the usual process,” the statement read.
Candidates can get their results by texting “UTMERESULT” to 55019 or 66019 with the phone number they used to register for the exam.
JAMB has been issuing daily result announcements since the 2026 UTME began on Thursday, April 16. Monday’s release is the most recent in this series.
The process, which involves over two million candidates taking computer-based tests at various locations around the country, has seen the board post results in batches corresponding to each examination day.
The board began the process by publishing results for Thursday’s candidates, followed by a combined batch that included Friday, April 17, and Saturday, April 18.
However, the Friday-Saturday release was later than planned by the candidates. JAMB had earlier stated that the results would be released on Saturday but failed to reach that deadline, causing dissatisfaction among candidates who waited all night.
The board later apologized, blaming the delay on the absence of its CEO, who was attending an official engagement.
The results were eventually disclosed on Sunday, April 19, before the board proceeded to process and issue the Monday batch.
