The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results of candidates who sat for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) on Thursday, April 16, 2026, with a total of 632,788 results now available for viewing.

In a statement issued by the board on Friday and signed by its spokesperson Fabian Benjamin, candidates were urged to check their results by texting “UTMERESULT” to 55019 or 66019, using the same phone number (SIM) as when they registered.

JAMB stated that at this time, candidates can only examine their results; printing options are not yet available.

It also issued a strong warning against attempting to influence or modify result signals received through official means, emphasizing that such actions are unlawful.

“Candidates are strongly cautioned against manipulating the SMS received from the official platform (55019/66019) to fabricate or alter scores with the intent to mislead others, including parents. Such actions constitute a serious criminal offense,” the statement said.

The Board also stated that it is already pursuing action against violators, noting that certain suspects are now in detention.

“Currently, two candidates and one parent are in custody for engaging in result falsification using AI and other electronic means. Any candidate found culpable will face the full consequences of the law,” it stated.

JAMB further confirmed that the examination process is still ongoing and that results will continue to be released in batches as they are processed.
