Former Arsenal teammates Patrick Vieira and Thierry Henry will go head-to-head for the first time as coaches in France’s Ligue 1 on Friday.

Vieira’s Nice will travel to Monaco, for the 17th game of the season.

In contrast to Henry’s Monaco, Vieira’s Nice have been doing well in the league, recording a sixth-match unbeaten run after drawing goalless Tuesday at home to Angers. They now sit 7th on the league table with 25 points.

Thierry Henry’s Monaco on Tuesday climbed out of the relegation zone after beating fellow strugglers Amiens 2-0.

The victory was the club’s second in the league since Henry took over in October.

They may be buoyed with this victory as they meet Nice on Friday.
