Nollywood actor and politician Yul Edochie has berated the high rate of jealousy and hatred among Igbos.
Edochie made his displeasure known in a post on his Instagram page on Wednesday, where he questioned the reason for their hatred among themselves.
The award-winning actor, who also mentioned how some people of the tribe who are succeeding have their family members as their biggest critics, urged them to do better.
He said, “There is too much jealousy and envy amongst Igbos.
“Why?
“If you’re doing well as an Igbo person, your biggest haters are your fellow Igbo people.
“Sometimes even your family members.”
He enjoined Ndigbo to embrace love by jettisoning hate and unnecessary rivalry.
“Igbos, we need to do better. We’re great.
“Stop the envy. Stop the competition. Things change when we address them,” he said.
