The residents of Shogunle in Oshodi, Lagos state woke up to a horrific scene on Monday as some men of the underworld were caught coming out of their hideouts, which is – the newly constructed drainage on Agege motor road.

A passerby noticed a man creeping out of the drainage and he accosted him. At first the man pretended to be a mad man but other passersby pounced on him and he pretended to be dead.

When they threatened to bury his remains, he responded and suddenly came back to life.

This led residents to investigate the hideout and has they probed it, they discovered an active walkie talkie, cameras, school uniforms, phones, NYSC uniforms, police uniforms, army uniforms, etc.

The resident said the most traumatic aspect is that the people of Shogunle threw caution into the air disregarding the social distancing directive as they gather in large numbers wanting to know what is going on.

According to another resident, people thronged to the drainage in large numbers. “There was a large number of persons gathered outside,” the resident who also craved anonymity said.

The resident explained that Area F Police Command in Ikeja was notified of the anomaly happening in his area.

“The unfortunate thing is that while all this happened, the two police post less than 100 metres away from the scene did not bother or show any concern,” the resident said.
