The operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Makurdi zonal directorate have arrested eight trucks conveying suspected illegal solid minerals.
They were arrested on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at Katsina-ala Local Government Area of Benue State.
Solid minerals suspected to be fluorite and iron stones were recovered from the trucks.
The minerals were mined from some illegal mining sites in the Logo Local Government Area of Benue State.
The EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale said in a statement that the suspects will soon be charged to court upon conclusion of investigations.
