In separate messages, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke and former Senate President Bukola Saraki congratulated Afrobeat artist David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, on his birthday.

Adeleke wished the Grammy Award nominee a happy birthday on his official X account, writing, “Happy birthday, Davido!” I recall you telling me about your musical ambitions and playing me your EP years ago.

“I encouraged you to aim high, and now, as a multiple Grammy Award nominee, philanthropist, and all-around great guy, I’m incredibly proud of the man you’ve become.”

Saraki emphasized the “Unavailable” crooner’s unwavering work ethic, saying, “One thing about Davido is that he works hard. From his music to his endorsements to his philanthropic efforts, he is constantly working, constantly breaking down barriers, and constantly making sure that people’s lives are better.

“As he celebrates another year today, I wish David all-round success in all his endeavors! Happy Birthday, OBO!”
