Popular Nigerian singer Bella Shmurda has claimed that he was defrauded after allegedly paying $4 million for a property in Lagos.
The singer revealed that he had just found out he had been deceived and that the home was not owned by the individual who sold it to him.
He voiced the claim during a heartfelt Instagram Live session on Tuesday, where he became visibly upset while seeking assistance.
While speaking in the livestream, Bella Shmurda expressed that he was heartbroken by the situation and was anxious about potentially losing the money he had worked so hard to make.
“Nigeria, I need your help. I’m not doing okay right now. I spent $4 million of my own hard-earned money, only to find out I bought stolen property,” he said.
The singer claimed that the individual who sold him the property had disappeared after receiving the payment.
“And now the seller has disappeared. Please, help me. Someone step in. I’ve got nothing left,” he said.
“I worked for years for this. I can’t lose $4 million like that.”
The singer, however, mentioned that he had contacted his lawyer to investigate the matter.
“I just contacted my lawyer for further investigation,” he said.
Bella Shmurda did not reveal the identity of the seller or provide further details about the property during the livestream.
