A shooting at a school in the Finnish city of Vantaa injured three 12-year-old students, according to authorities. Police said they reacted to the incident at Viertola School before 09:00 (06:00 GMT) on Tuesday and advised locals to stay indoors. A suspect, who police claimed was also 12, fled but was subsequently apprehended. The school has 800 students and 90 employees. According to public broadcaster YLE, children were advised to stay in their classrooms following the attack. The Ogun State Police Command reported that on Friday night, armed bandits intercepted an Abakaliki-bound luxury bus, robbed all passengers, and then set it on fire. No fewer than three people were injured after a woman, who was being detained, stole a gun from a guard and opened fire outside a Chilean market on Monday. The incident occurred in Santiago’s Lo Valledor market and was filmed on live broadcast. The woman was shown on video being led out of the market while in police custody. A guard and a videographer were among those injured. The cameraman was rushed to the hospital with significant injuries and is in stable condition, according to the national newspaper La Nación.

An unspecified number of students travelling along the East-West road in Ughelli, Delta State, have been abducted by gunmen.
