Plateau State University (PLASU) has declared a two-day mourning period following the attacks on the Chikam Community close to the institution in which a 200-level Computer Science student, Dading James Jordan, lost his life. Cattle breeders from the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) and farmers from the Southwest Commodity Farmers Organisation signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to foster peaceful coexistence in the zone. Deji Ajare, a human rights lawyer, has requested the Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Umar Yusuf, to initiate impeachment procedures against Kogi State Governor Usman Ododo, citing claims of misconduct and abuse of office. Abraham Daniel has accused pastor Isaac Omokri, the brother of Reno Omokri, a former aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, of raping his 15-year-old daughter.
