The Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has announced that Nigerians will no longer have to travel to the immigration office to receive their passports, with home delivery slated to begin in June. Three abducted victims have been rescued, and a notorious kidnapper was arrested by the operatives of the Kaduna State Police Command. This was revealed in a statement released in Kaduna on Friday by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP, Mansir Hassan. The Ondo State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has detained three persons for alleged criminal activity in the state. According to a statement released on Friday by the NSCDC’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Aidamenbor Daniel, the suspects included Abraham Achibong, who was accused of defiling his eight-year-old daughter. The other two suspects are Ojo Oluwasola and Agu Matthew. The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) dismissed no fewer than 200 employees on Friday, adding to the lengthy list of employees who have been let go from the apex bank.  This brings the total number of employees fired by the bank between March 15 and April 11, 2024, to 117.
