The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, Gombe State University, has declared an indefinite strike following the failure of the state government to meet the demands. Floods caused by heavy rains continued from Tuesday to Wednesday, submerging some neighbourhoods in Yenagoa, the capital of Bayelsa State.  Flash floods devastated areas such as Cemetery, Azikoro, Ekeki, Okaka, Swali, Kpansia, Amarata, and Ovom, causing widespread anxiety among inhabitants. A 55-year-old woman simply identified as Ifeoma reportedly died shortly after collapsing while sharing a testimony at the Ministry Church in the Ejigbo area of Lagos State.
