Hundreds of Hezbollah pagers detonated across Lebanon on Tuesday, killing at least nine people and injuring approximately 2,800 in explosives claimed on Israel by the Iran-backed militant group.  The Israeli military made no immediate comment on the series of explosions, which occurred only hours after Israel announced that it was widening the scope of the conflict sparked by Hamas’ October 7 strikes to include a struggle against Hezbollah along the country’s border with Lebanon. Statistics from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC) have shown that more males are getting infected with Mpox in Nigeria. According to data uploaded on the NCDC website on Monday, 67% of Mpox cases recorded since January 2024 have been male. The Federal Government has notified Nigerians of the flow of water from Cameroon’s Lagdo Dam.  The FG announced this in a press statement signed by Umar Muhammed, Director General/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria Hydrological Services Agency, on Tuesday. The message stated that the authorities at Cameroon’s Lagdo Dam will begin restricted water releases today, September 17, 2023.
