Thousands of women of Enugwu-Agidi in the Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State, on Friday, protested over what they termed land grabbing and high-handedness by the President-General of the community, Ebuka Onuorah. The industrial dispute between the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) took a dramatic turn on Saturday as the union ordered seven branches to cut off crude oil and gas supplies to the $20bn facility. The Cross River State Police Command has confirmed the abduction of 17 passengers by suspected sea pirates along the Calabar waterways.
