A fire outbreak has destroyed the girls’ hostel at Dano Memorial Secondary School, Gidan Mission, Gani, in Sumaila Local Government Area, Kano State. The fire outbreak occurred on Monday while students had already vacated the school premises for the end-of-term holiday. The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Jigawa Command has confirmed the death of four persons, while five others are missing following a boat mishap in Jigawa. The boat mishap occurred in the Taura Local Government Area of the state.
