The Senate agreed to President Bola Tinubu’s request for a $800 million World Bank loan. The president’s appeal was contained in a letter read in plenary on Thursday by Senate President Godswill Akpabio. On Thursday, an Abuja High Court sitting in Maitama ordered the Department of State Services, DSS, to release the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr. Godwin Emefiele, from prison or charge him to court within seven days.
